PURPOSE: A system and a method for an Internet game service to keep a number of game rooms over a predetermined number for each channel using a character are provided to continuously induce interest for the game from users and remove troublesomeness to continuously move to the channel opening many game rooms by keeping the number of the game rooms opened to each channel over a proper level. CONSTITUTION: A channel database(200) includes a game channel list database, a game room list database, and a game room status database, and stores a list for the channels of each game and data related to the game room opened in the channel. A channel server(300) provides the channel of each game and the data related to the game room opened in the channel to the user by referring to the channel database. A character providing server(400) generates the character needed for making the channel server open the game room and provides it to the channel server. The channel server includes a game room opening part(310), a channel status confirming part(320), a game room status confirming part(330), and a channel controller(340). |
