PURPOSE: To provide a rolling roll cooling apparatus that cools a rolling roll promptly and uniformly by cooling the rolling roll while rotating the rolling roll and measures surface shape of the rolling roll according to temperature variation in realtime, thereby improves operation efficiency and reduces working process. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for cooling rolling roll comprises a flat stand; movable arms(200a,200b) suspended on the stand in such a shape that the arms are oppositely directed to each other; an arm transfer part(300) mounted on the stand to move the arms in a plane direction of the stand; a cooling part(400) mounted on the arms to cool a rolling roll positioned between the arms; a rolling roll rotary part(500) comprising rollers(508,510) mounted on the arms so that the rolling roll is rotated by contact of the rollers with the surface of the rolling roll, and a motor(502) for driving the rollers; and a sensor unit mounted on the arm(200b) to measure temperature of the rolling roll.
