<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite composition which exhibits a small electric power loss Pcv and a high saturated magnetic flux density Bs, has stable characteristics even when subjected to actual firing in air, and can be produced at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The ferrite composition does not contain manganese oxide and contains a main component composed of iron oxide, titanium oxide, zinc oxide, copper oxide and nickel oxide. The main component in an amount of 100 mol% contains 46.0-50.0 mol% iron oxide (in terms of Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>), 0-1.0 mol% (except 0 mol%) titanium oxide (in terms of Ti<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>), 20.0-35.0 mol% zinc oxide (in terms of ZnO), 1.0-6.0 mol% copper oxide (in terms of CuO) excepting 6.0 mol%, and the balance being nickel oxide, provided the sum of iron oxide and titanium oxide (in terms of Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>+Ti<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>) is 50 mol% or lower. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
