<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device excellent in display quality without generating coating unevenness of functioning layers at each pixel electrode, and also to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for a display device having bank parts 112a, 112b among each functioning layer formed on each electrode 111 by forming the bank parts 112a, 112b around a plurality of electrodes 111 formed on a substrate 2 and discharging compositions from a plurality of nozzles to form the functioning layers on each electrode 111 respectively. The bank parts 112a, 112b are provided with parts processed to be lyophilic and parts processed to be liquid-repellent, first droplets of the compositions are disposed on the electrodes 111 so as to be contacted with at least a part of the bank parts 112a, 112b, and second droplets of the compositions are disposed so as to be superposed on a part of the first droplets disposed on the electrodes 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
