PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation system provided with a function of detecting a power generation unit that has failed or that has become defective of many power generation units.

SOLUTION: In the power generation system structured by integrating many power generation units, the power generation units are each constituted of a power generating portion and a power-generating-portion status sensor. Remote control from a computer makes it possible to grasp the state of the power generating portion that has failed or that has become defective via the power-generating-portion status sensor.
