CENTRIFUGE AND ITS RESIDUAL CAKE DISCHARGE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifuge equipped with a residual cake discharge device for discharging the cake remaining in a basket. SOLUTION: A sucking tool 22 is arranged in this centrifuge, which can be shifted in the basket 10 between a retracting position and the finally advanced position. When the tool 22 exists at the finally advanced position, a suction port 22a arranged at the tip of the tool 22 is made to approach a filter 12 arranged on the inner periphery of the basket 10. A compressed gas is blown from a nozzle 28 toward the portion of the filter 12 to be opposed to the port 22a while evacuating the tool 22. The residual cake exfoliated by the compressed gas is sucked from the port 22a and discharged to the outside. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
