PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in the size of the device and the number of part items and to insure that the front end edge of a blade abuts uniformly on the peripheral surface of a photoreceptor drum at all times. SOLUTION: The cleaning device is provided with a supporting shaft 40 which is constructed in parallel to the axial canter of a photoreceptor drum 112 of the image forming apparatus 10 between opposite side walls 24 of a housing 21 disposed to face the peripheral surface of the photoreceptor drum 112 within an equipment body 16 ought to be removed of the toner remaining on the peripheral surface of the photoreceptor drum 112 and a blade member 30 which is fitted onto the supporting shaft 40 integrally rotatably around the axial center of the shaft and oscillatably in a diametral direction. The blade member 30 is provided with a cylindrical blade supporting tube 51 having the inner diameter size larger than the external diameter size of the supporting member 40 and four blades 522 which are projected from the peripheral surface of the cylindrical blade supporting tube 51 in a tangent direction and extend to an axial center direction.
