PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take a subtraction image at a high speed in a real time regardless of the kind of a transmitted X-ray image detector. SOLUTION: This X-ray apparatus is constituted so as to changer over the focus of an X-ray tube to a large focus in a focus changeover part 14 to perform X-ray photographing to obtain a non-sharp X-ray image, which is out of focus, necessary for forming the subtraction image regardless of the kind of the transmitted X-ray image detector without performing signal processing for blurring an image. Since the magnitude of the focus of the X-ray tube 1 is electrically changed over in the focus changeover part 14, the magnitude of the focus of the X-ray tube 1 is rapidly changed over to obtain a sharp X-ray image and the non-sharp X-ray image necessary for forming the subtraction image for an extremely short time.
