PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polishing cloth clamping device which can securely fix the polishing cloth without damaging it and a game ball hoisting polisher using the same. SOLUTION: The polishing cloth clamping device is provided with a resistor 110 energized by a pressurization mechanism, a pressing member 120 which is almost arcuate in the cross section thereof at the contact portion thereof to be eccentrically supported and an operation handle 130 with which the pressing member 120 is turned to be displaced to the clamping position of being pressed onto the resistor 110 or to the releasing position of being separated from the resistor 110. The pressing member 120 and the resistor 110 contact on each other's surfaces in the displacement of the pressing member 120 to the clamping position. The surface of the connector 110 is so arranged that the static friction force working between it and the polishing cloth 90 it elastically contacts being energized by the pressurization mechanism grows larger than the maximum tensile force working on the polishing cloth 90 in the hoisting of the game balls when the polishing cloth 90 is grasped between the resistor and the pressing member 120 displaced to the clamping position.
