PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tea ridge straddle-type tea plantation-tending device having a simple mechanism, enabling smooth automatic steering while realizing the use of common parts and the reduction of cost and enabling slow stop to avoid the danger in emergency or the stop at the work on a limit slope. SOLUTION: The tea plantation-tending device is provided with a running unit 2 having a running gear 21 under the unit and a tending unit such as a tea plucking unit 3 mounted on the running unit. The running device 21 is driven by oil motors (running motors 72L, 72R) receiving a hydraulic oil from an HST 71. A set of bypass circuits 73L, 73R is placed in hydraulic circuits 7L, 7R between the oil motors and the HST 71, and the quantity of the hydraulic oil passing through the bypass circuits is controlled by proportional solenoid valves 74L, 74R having controlled opening degree according to commanding signal to perform the automatic steering control and the parking brake control.
