PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of Moire fringes, independently of the software. SOLUTION: In an inspection method for a displaying panel and the apparatus therefor, the light from the display panel is received by a sensor, having a plurality of sensor elements arranged in the arrangement direction of display pixels, and therewith a photographic range by the sensor is moved at least by one array pitch, by making the displaying panel and the sensor elements move relatively in the arrangement direction of the sensor elements.
