PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion pressure sensor capable of reducing dispersion in output sensitivity with a small preload, and capable of stabilizing a characteristic. SOLUTION: This sensor is provided with a transmission member 11 for transmitting a load generated by combustion pressure, and a load detector 12 for receiving the load transmitted via the transmission member 11 to detect the combustion pressure. The load detector 12 has a bending member 121 bent-deformed by the load, and a piezoelectric element 122 bent-deformed together with the bending member 121 to output an electric signal in response to a load variation. In this constitution, such face contact in the whole area of a pressure receiving face as that in a prior art is not required, because the bending member 121 is bent by the load transmitted via the transmission member 11, and because the piezoelectric element 122 is deformed followed to the deformation of the bending member 121, so as to reduce the dispersion in the output sensitivity and to stabilize the characteristic, even in the small preload.
