<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic support apparatus for supporting diagnosis by quantifying the characteristic of a tumor. <P>SOLUTION: A target region extracting means extracts a target region from an image. A display means displays in the image the region extracted by the target region extracting means. An indicating means indicates the region when the region displayed by the display means is not correct or a new region is indicated. A frequency coefficient resolving means resolves the image into a plurality of frequency bands, and calculates the coefficient. A feature analyzing means calculates prescribed featured values from a prescribed region to be specified by the target region extracting means or the indicating means, concerning the component of the coefficient calculated by the frequency coefficient resolving means, A discriminating means calculates the objective index of an object, based on the featured values calculated by the feature analyzing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
