PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating agent for Alzheimer's disease, inhibiting the formation of senile plaque and the storage of amyloid in central nervous system and without causing adverse effects such as encephalitis, a liver disorder, etc., and having a high safety.

SOLUTION: This adeno-associated virus capable of expressing a peptide fragment containing a humoral immunity-causing part of a β-amyloid peptide contains a DNA in a functioning form for encoding the peptide fragment.
