<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately perform the operation of altering and adjusting setting values in a signal discrimination method of a display device constituted in such a way as to display the state of setting on the basis of signal values acquired by digitizing an altered and adjusted setting values when a setting device for altering and adjusting setting values of a control system is artificially adjusted and operated. <P>SOLUTION: A display is changed over on the basis of the results of discrimination of the contrast of the digitized signal values to dead zones.
