PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting device for a wheelchair by which transfer into a room with a step is easily and safely performed. SOLUTION: The device includes a support base (2) with wheels(5, 7) arranged in front and rear parts and a grip (8) projected upward in a rear part. The support base (2) comprises a lifting base (10) to be vertically moved by a driving device (15). The lifting base (10) comprises a pair of guide rails (12) for guiding the rear wheels (46) of the wheelchair (25) to the right and left; a frame receiver (11a) which is projected upward to be higher than the guide rails (12) in the middle left and right, so as to receive the front side of the lower frame (27) of the wheelchair (25); and a stopper (14) for restricting the backward movement of the wheelchair (25) in the rear part, in a state where the front wheels (45) of the wheelchair (25) are projected forward from the lifting base (10).
