PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording device which can record selectively and efficiently data accumulated in an accumulating device in a recording medium of a removable type, and provide its control method. SOLUTION: This device is a data recording device which is provided with the accumulating device and records information data accumulated in the accumulating device in the recording medium of the removable type, information data accumulated in the accumulating device is managed with a recording capacity unit of the recording medium, information data are read out from the accumulating device with the recording capacity unit, and record for the recording medium of a storage device of the read out information data is controlled.
