PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent uneven distortion from remaining inside an adhesive for fixing an optical fiber between a fixing member and a covering member in an optical fiber array. SOLUTION: In the state in which a space where a plurality of optical fibers F are held between a fixing member 10 and a covering member 30 is filled with a photosetting resin 40 and the photosetting resin 40 is held also on the fixing member outside of both widthwise end parts of the covering member 30, the photosetting resin 40 is evenly set by irradiation with an exposure luminous flux L for setting the photosetting resin at one widthwise end side of the covering member via the fixing member or covering member in a long slit form in the direction orthogonal to the optical fiber direction, and by displacing this slit form irradiation part relatively to the covering member 30 toward the other widthwise end side of the covering member.
