PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and brightly display a three-dimensional image whose resolution is high. SOLUTION: In the image display device, a controller 4 makes a image projecting device 2 output a two-dimensional image. The two-dimensional image is projected to a screen group 1 by the image projecting device 2. The controller 4 specifies a screen 3 where a image element is displayed based on depth information corresponding to the picture element of the two-dimensional image. Then, in the image display device, a split area where the picture element is projected out of the split areas provided at the screen 3 is made to be in a light-scattering state, and the controller 4 displays the three-dimensional image by making each component drawn in the two-dimensional image displayed on the different screen 3.
