TRANSMISSION IMAGER

A transmission imager having a simpler structure, enabling display of a transmission image with an arbitrary magnification factor, and excellent in operability. The transmission imager comprises a source (3a), a radiation sensor, and a specimen table (4) which is disposed between the source (3a) and the radiation sensor and on which a specimen is mounted, thereby displaying a transmission image on a display unit. A table drive mechanism (6) for changing the relative coordinates among the source device (3a), the radiation sensor, and the sample table (4). The radiation sensor is a flat panel X-ray detector (5). A synthetic image created by combining captured unit images is displayed and given coordinate data. An image selection frame the position and size of which can be changed is displayed superimposingly on the synthetic image or an image constituting a part of the synthetic image so as to determine the relative coordinates by comparison between the coordinate data and the image selection frame. By controlling the table drive device (6) according to the relative coordinates, the relative coordinates of the sample table (4) are changed, and a magnified selection image in the image selection frame is displayed.
