A collapsible mobile telephone device includes a storage section for storing a called history, a called history read out section, a display section, a case opening/closing detection section, and an automatic call section for automatically performing a call when the opening of the case is detected by the opening/closing detection section. When a called history is read out from the storage section and displayed on the display section and an opening of the case is detected by the opening/closing detection section, an automatic call is performed to the destination displayed on the display section. Moreover, the destinations automatically called when the case is opened may be limited to the members registered in advance as telephone book data or a part of the members in the telephone book data.
