<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmitting device capable of outputting a stream at a stable time by providing a reference timer for generating a reference time from an input reference time signal and an output timer for generating a time for outputting, setting the value of the reference timer to the output timer before starting a stream output and using the value of the output timer while the stream is outputted. <P>SOLUTION: This data transmitting device is provided with a converting means for applying prescribed conversion to an input signal, adding time information to the input signal and outputting the input signal with the time information added, a reference time timer means for generating a time from a signal input having the time information, and an output timer means for generating a time outputted from the converting means. The data transmitting device sets the time information of the reference time timer means in the output timer means before starting the output of the converting means and outputs the time information from the converting means on the basis of the output timer information. The converting means is further provided with an output time converting means, changes and outputs the added time information on the basis of the time information of the time of the output timer, and includes one of a video encoding means for compression-coding a video input signal and a sound encoding means for compression-coding a sound input signal or both of them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
