<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new technology relating to various equipments of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A toll collection system captures an image on a windshield 124 by a camera 125, facing the windshield 124, installed on a dash-board 123. The system detects a state of the windshield, applying pattern recognition to the captured image, and according to the state, determines operation and stop of a wiper arm 127, or a wiper operation pattern as an operation speed during the operation. The system further captures an image of a tire by two cameras and transmits the captured image to a system data center. The system data center detects a deterioration/damage state with three-dimensional image pattern recognition, and notifies an owner of the vehicle of the damage, if necessary. The system further includes an acceleration detecting means for detecting a slowdown in speed of the vehicle, and a blinking control means for blinking brake lamps with time intervals corresponding to the slowdown in speed of the vehicle detected by the acceleration detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
