PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To do outdoor cooking, mostly of rice, by using a camp stove, where any liquid boiling over the edge of a cooking pot thereon can be guided to drip straight down to the ground without putting out the fire or staining the pot. SOLUTION: This device with a boilover guard is provided with guiding plates so that any liquid boiling over the edge of a cooking pot thereon can be guided to drip straight down to the ground, being kept off a camp stove. Each guide plate is shaped like a reverse triangle or a suspended triangle with inwardly-curved sides so as to let much external air come in. It is compactly collapsible to enhance portability. In any application other than just being put on top of a trivet, it may be attached to the cooking pot or the trivet itself in advance before cooking. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
