PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunction mobile terminal device which is small and light. SOLUTION: In this portable terminal device provided with a device 2 at a part that can be touched from the outside, the device 2 comprises a display means 3 for displaying a character or an image, a touch sensing means 4 for detecting the irregularities of the surface of a touching contact object, and a solar cell 6 to be the power source of this device. This portable terminal device is provided with an irregularity storing part 8 for registering the prescribed irregularities beforehand, a determining means 9 for determining whether the irregularity data registered in the irregularity storing part 8 coincide with irregularity data on the surface of the contact object detected by the touch sensing means 4, and a processing means 10 for permitting or prohibiting the use of the device according to the determination results of the determining means 9.
