PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program information managing method and device for retrieving a target program from a plurality of kinds of media and retrieving and reproducing the program from a program table by collectively managing program information recorded by a plurality of video recording devices at one place. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a means for performing video recording of programs by one video recording device or more, a program information storing means for storing information of a video recorded program, a program information retrieving means for retrieving the target program from the stored program information, and a device operating means for operating one video recording device or more to perform copying and movement of the program.
