PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital multifunction cordless telephone set only for a key system, which automatically learns a radio connection channel most suitable in the installed environment to quickly make following radio connections. SOLUTION: A higher order device 1 of the key system designates a radio connection start channel to a master unit and a slave unit of a cordless telephone set of an extension. The master unit 2 and the slave unit 3 of the cordless telephone of the extension (1) call an initial value of the radio connection start channel and a pointer from an EEPROM 24 and an EEPROM 34 respectively and add the initial value and the value of the pointer to calculate a channel and start a radio connection by this channel. In the case that a radio module detects electric wave interference, the pointer is incremented by +1, and the incremented result is stored in the EEPROM.
