PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording apparatus capable of securing a free capacity, depending on a recording state of data. SOLUTION: A CPU 153 establishes internal connection as necessary by setting start of recording data, allows a content sending apparatus 120 to acquire the predetermined data, and outputs the data to an HD apparatus 130 via a data bus 110 of IEEE1394 to record the data. The free capacity of the recording HD apparatus 130 is detected, and if the capacity is not more than a predetermined value, the other data already recorded in the HD apparatus 130 are moved to a content recording apparatus 140 via the data bus 110 to ensure the free capacity of the HD apparatus 130.
