PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acceleration sensor with its assembly work facilitated as compared with conventional structure. SOLUTION: This acceleration sensor is equipped with a case 1 for housing therein a circuit substrate 3 mounted with an acceleration sensor chip 2 and a buffer member 9 inserted between the circuit substrate 3 and the case 1 for absorbing an impact transmitted from the case 1 to the circuit substrate 3. The case 1 comprises a base 5 having a connector 4 for connecting the circuit substrate 3 to an external circuit, and a cover 6 for forming a space together with the base 5 for housing the circuit substrate 3 therein. The buffer member 9 is fixed to the base 5 by using a presser plate 8 attached to the base 5. Accordingly, the circuit substrate 3 can be previously fixed to the base 5 by the presser plate 8 before the base 5 is combined with the cover 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
