PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new pressure sensitive adhesive composition which, when coated on a substrate sheet, gives an adhesion layer having adequate releasable adhesion and makes it impossible to see hidden information through the layer. SOLUTION: The composition is coated on the superimposing surface of the sheet, forms upon drying the adhesive layer which is not adhesive under a normal condition. The pressure sensitive adhesive composition releasably bonds the superimposed surfaces together by applying a specific pressure on the superimposed surfaces facing each other. The pressure sensitive adhesive composition has excellent hiding performance by mixing it with a colorant having a brightness L* of 0-50 so that the brightness L* of the adhesive layer is brought to 35-88.
