The fountain (1) has a base unit (2) constructed for filling with a fluid (5), and a pump unit (4) for the supplying of fluid from the base unit to a fluid outlet component (3). The base unit has at least one opening (20,21) for engagement of a lifting (6) and/or transporting device to lift or relocate the fountain. The opening is formed by the multiple bending of the material of a bottom section of the base unit. A baseplate (23) for covering of the one or more openings is installed on the underside of the base unit. An independent claim is included for a base unit for a fountain, with openings for the engagement by lifting and/or transporting devices.
