A mounting bracket for a load flap for a truck has a simple construction with a dual function. A rectangular metal plate is formed with a wedge shaped grip (2) at the upper end and a curved pivot support (3) at the lower end. The two shapes are linked by a flat mounting plate (5) drilled with fitting holes (4) to secure to the vehicle. The bracket is made in one process, out of high quality steel, and is protected by a corrosion coating.
