<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for providing annotation information to part of regions of an image that can easily designate a region and omit the designation. <P>SOLUTION: When an image in which the annotation information is provided is designated, the apparatus sets and displays a region with the annotation information provided therein in the middle of the image. A user designates a desired region by moving, magnifying, or reducing a displayed region frame (51) when the set region is not in matching with the region to which the annotation information is going to be provided, and the user omits the designation of the region when the set region is in matching with the region to which the annotation information is going to be provided.
