SPLICE PART OF OPTICAL FIBER AND OPTICAL FIBER SPLICER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a splice part of an optical fiber of which the splice loss is small and the change in temperature characteristic of the splice loss is small, and to provide an optical fiber splicer.

SOLUTION: In the splice part 1 of an optical fiber in which an optical fiber 61 with a plurality of pores in the clad 63 around the core 62 is spliced to the other optical fiber 71, the optical fiber 61 is butt-spliced to the other optical fiber via a refractive index matching agent r having a refractive index lower than that of the core 62 at the lowest temperature for practical use.
