<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber which can be wound in various ways including short and compact winding, middle length winding, large loop winding and the like even though the length of the residual portion of the optical fiber is long and the length of the loop is uncertain. <P>SOLUTION: A case main body is provided with an optical receiver section and an optical fiber storage section. In the optical fiber storage section, a first winding frame 26 having, in the peripheral area, a peripheral wall 26a which is formed with a small curvature within a safe curvature range and a second winding frame 27 are arranged in parallel. Jumping preventing walls 29b are independently arranged at a plurality of places which are separated from the outer peripheral of the peripheral wall 26a of the first and the second winding frames 26 and 27, so as to allow an arrangement of an optical fiber having a large curvature and control the outer peripheries of the optical fiber. Optical fibers are stacked together in the places between the first and the second winding frames. The stacked sections can be used as the peripheral walls 26a of the first winding frame 26, or as the peripheral walls 27a of the second winding frame 27. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
