<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the function of a charger for a portable apparatus being used in the compartment of an automobile. <P>SOLUTION: The charger 10 comprises a body 12 provided with a plug part 14 for connection with a power socket in the compartment of an automobile, and a connector 24 connected with the body through an electric cord 20 and connectible with the battery of a portable apparatus wherein an illuminator 28 is provided on the outer surface of the connector.
