PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack in which an FET having a breakdown voltage lower than that of a charge protection FET can be selected for discharge protection. SOLUTION: An N type FET 2 has a source connected with the negative electrode side of a secondary battery 1, a drain connected with the drain of a P type FET 3, and a gate connected with a detection control circuit 4. The FET 3 has a source connected a terminal 7 and a gate connected with the detection control circuit 4. A diode 5 has an anode connected with a terminal 7 and a cathode connected with a terminal 6. The detection control circuit 4 is connected with the terminal 6. The negative electrode side of a power supply 8 is connected with the terminal 6 and the positive electrode side thereof is connected with the terminal 7. The discharge protection FET 3 and the charge protection FET 2 are selected such that the breakdown voltage thereof satisfies a relation FET 2<FET 3. When the FETs 2 and 3 are selected to satisfy above-mentioned relation, they can be controlled similarly to a case where they have an identical breakdown voltage by inserting the diode 5, as shown on the drawing.
