PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorization body enhanced in deodorization efficiency by a necessary minimum amount of a deodorization material containing a metal oxide including manganese dioxide and activated carbon. SOLUTION: In the deodorization body wherein at least manganese dioxide and activated carbon are supported on a carrier, the support amount of manganese dioxide and activated carbon on the carrier is set to 30-100 g/m<SP>2</SP>not only to avoid manganese dioxide or activated carbon not contributing to deodorization but also to keep a deodorization capacity by a small amount of manganese dioxide and activated carbon.
