PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device installed under a handle of an automobile for controlling various operations by operation of a lever, and a manufacturing method of the switching device with small number of components and simple structure, easy to assemble and of low cost. SOLUTION: A lever switch 11 can be easily fixed to a support 18 by providing an arm-shaped locking piece 16 with a locking part 16A formed on its inside face at a cylinder part 15 of a case 12, providing an engaging part 18C to which the locking part 16A of the locking piece 16 at an outer periphery of the support 18, and providing a ribbon ring 20 for pressing an outside face of the locking piece 16 at an outer periphery of the cylinder part 15 of the case 12, and at the same time, the switching device with the small number of components, of a simple structure, and of low cost, as well as its manufacturing method can be provided.
