PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device in which a rising air flow is generated within a TOP case by a stirring member that is provided on a clamper covering the entire top surface of a disk and the cooling effect within the TOP case is improved by the air flow by the stirring member. SOLUTION: In the disk device, a disk D stored in a TOP case 1 is put between a turntable 6 of the chucking mechanism 3 and a clamper 7 and rotated. A plurality of feather bodies 8 is projectingly provided along an oblique and up direction on the top surface of the clamper 7 which covers the entire top surface of the disk D. A plurality of openings 1b are formed on the top wall of the TOP case 1 to release a convection current to the external being generated in the TOP case 1 by the stirring operations of the plurality of feather bodies 8 caused by the rotation of the clamper 7 and a plurality of openings 1b are formed on a bottom wall section 9 of the mechanical unit.
