PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic encoder capable of suppressing cost rises and facilitating the pasting of biased magnets and having high accuracy in pasting locations. SOLUTION: A printed circuit board 1 to which magnetoresistive elements 3a and 3b are fixed is arranged close to a magnetic code disk 5 having a rotating shaft 6. Electronic parts 4a-4h are mounted to the circumference of the magnetoresistive elements 3a and 3b. A biased magnet 2a is pasted to a region A surrounded with electronic parts 4a-4d, and a biased magnet 2b is mounted to a region surrounded with electronic parts 4e-4h. At this time, the biased magnets 2a and 2b are positioned to prescribed locations by the electronic parts 4a-4h.
