PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for repairing an existing buried pipe, which can stably and surely maintain a lining state of a lining material over a long period of time irrespective of intrusion of groundwater, and which is convenient, particularly, for application to renovation of a large-diameter existing sewer pipe. SOLUTION: In this method for repairing the existing buried pipe, a back-filling material is injected and infilled into a peripheral gap so as to be cured, after the whole surface of the inner periphery of the existing buried pipe to be repaired is covered with the lining material with a back rib in such a manner that a peripheral gap is made in between. In a process before a process for injecting and infilling the back-filling material, at least one hose is pre-installed in the peripheral gap throughout a length in the axial direction of the pipe. The injection, filling and curing of the back-filling material are performed in a state wherein a shape of the hose is retained by a fluid which is infilled into the hose. After that, the hose is pulled out from inside a cured layer of the back-filling material, and a trace after the removal of the hose is used as an exhaust passage for the intruding groundwater.
