<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic polycarbonate resin which has a specific structure and has excellent heat resistance, toughness and hue. <P>SOLUTION: This polycarbonate copolymer obtained from a fluorene-based bisphenol represented by the general formula [1] (R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>4</SP>are each independently H, a 1 to 9C hydrocarbon group which may contain an aromatic group, or a halogen atom) in an amount of 5 to 95 mol. % based on the total aromatic dihydroxy component and a dihydroxy component represented by the general formula [2] (R<SP>5</SP>to R<SP>8</SP>are each independently H, a 1 to 9C hydrocarbon group which may contain an aromatic group, or a halogen atom; W is a single bond, O, S, SO, SO<SB>2</SB>, CO, COO or a 1 to 20C hydrocarbon group which may contain an aromatic group) in an amount of 95 to 5 mol. % is characterized by containing sulfur compounds in an amount of ≤100 ppb (as sulfur atom) and carbon tetrachloride in an amount of ≤2 ppm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
