PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp used for certainly fixing a resin pipe when an electric fusion joint and the resin pipe are fused electrically, and capable of reducing the excavation amount of the ground when piping work is performed by excavating the ground. SOLUTION: The clamp is composed of a semicircular holding metal fitting 13, which has a recessed part having a U-shaped cross section provided to the bottom part thereof and having laterally protruded flanges 12a and 12b on both sides thereof, and a chain 15 connected to one flange 12a of the holding metal fitting 13 at one end thereof and hooked with the hooking part 14 attached to the other flange 12b in a detachable manner at the other end thereof. When the clamp is used, the holding metal fitting 13 is abutted to the resin pipe 6 from above to be mounted thereon by fitting the resin pipe 6 to the recessed part and the chain 15 is passed under the resin pipe 6 to be stretched over the resin pipe 6 and hooked with the hooking part 14 at its free end.
