PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain polyester resin varnish having a low water content and to provide a method for inexpensively and efficiently producing the varnish. SOLUTION: (1) The method for producing the polyester resin varnish comprises, after completion of polymerization of a polyester resin, directly feeding a solvent to a polymerizer and stirring and dissolving the polyester resin. (2) The method for producing the polyester resin comprises charging a solvent to a dissolver different from the polymerizer, after completion of polymerization of a polyester resin, charging the polyester resin in a melt state to the dissolver and stirring and dissolving the polyester resin. (3) The method for producing the polyester resin varnish comprises, after completion of polymerization of a polyester resin, charging the polyester resin in a melt state to a kneader, charging a solvent from any part of the kneader and kneading and dissolving the polyester resin.
