PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the number times of piercing in a condition of low piecing resistance and durability of a medical knife with which the affected part of an eye ball or the like is pierced and cut. SOLUTION: The knife A is equipped with an edge 7 which is formed along an outer circumference of a blade section 1 and a plane projection of the blade section 1 comprises a tip section 6 including a tip 3 which is formed at a leading edge part of the blade section 1, a maximum width section 4 with the maximum width, and a side face section 5 which is formed between the tip 3 and the maximum width section 4, wherein a first inclined plane 8 which constitutes the edge 7 is formed along the edge 7 and a second inclined plane 10 is formed along the first inclined plane. The width of the place of the first inclined plane 8a to constitute the tip 3 is larger than the width of the place of the first inclined plane 8 to constitute the side face section 5.
