PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that can take an image and is highly sensitive and superior in conversion efficiency. SOLUTION: The imaging device is formed by piling up a plurality of component substrates comprising a substrate provided with a first main surface and a second main surface, a conversion part that is formed on the first main surface on a first end side of the substrate and converts the incident light into an electric signal, and an electric signal accumulation part that is electrically connected with the conversion part and is formed by connecting a plurality of charge storages. In addition, the first end of the component substrate is shifted from the first ends of the adjacent component substrates so that the conversion part of the component substrate may be exposed. Furthermore, an angle formed by the side wall surface of the first component substrate and the first main surface of the second component substrate is formed so that the incident light can reach the conversion part of the second component substrate.
