PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer device with burst transfer mode allowing efficient use of a memory bus by performing operation control of a writing port on the basis of an instruction signal for selecting an operation function from the outside. SOLUTION: The writing port 1-2 constituting a client interface has a memory of FIFO system 1-4 sequentially storing inputted data, and a transfer request generation part 1-6 including a control register 1-7. By controlling the control register 1-7 according to the evaluation signal from the outside, the writing port 1-2 issues a transfer request signal to automatically start burst transfer of the input data when the number of pieces of the stored data exceeds a burst transfer number, or selectively controls a flash function and a clear function to the data stored in the memory of FIFO system 1-4.
