PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developing device and a heat developing method by which occurrence of density unevenness of an image is suppressed and density can be stabilized, from a view point different from that of the conventional technique. SOLUTION: According to corrected image data corrected by an image data correction section 303 on the basis of correction data, a laser exposure section 305 exposes a film F in such a way that temperature variation in at least one of the width direction of a drum 14 and the conveyance direction of a photosensitive heat-developable material is corrected, therefore even when the temperature variation is caused in the drum 14 to a certain extent, density of an image formed in the film F can be adjusted and an image of higher image quality can be obtained.
