PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector component case with which optical connector components (A) required to be previously inserted to an optical fiber before attaching a ferrule to the optical fiber can be assembled in a simple manner, and also to provide a method for assembling the optical connector components using the same. SOLUTION: The optical connector component case (20a) has placing parts (24, 25, 26, 27, and 28) for holding the optical connector components (A=2, 3, 4, 5 and 6) required to be previously inserted to the optical fiber (1) before the ferrule (7) is attached to at least the optical fiber and optical fiber insertion ports (23a and 23b) for insertion of the optical fiber. The optical connector components are arranged on a line passing the insertion ports of the optical port. In assembling, the optical fiber is inserted to the optical connector components (A) from the optical fiber insertion ports in a state the case is closed and thereafter the ferrule is attached to the end of the optical fiber.
